Cultural program and project manager / Event curator

As an expert in pop-cultural, discursive and performative formats, I specialize in projects that open up and expand the realms of art, culture, and museum experiences.

Currently, I am developing the artistic and conceptual profile of the Marinehaus cultural center, part of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin, where I serve as artistic project lead (Künstlerischer Projektleiter).

Located near the beautiful Köllnischer Park, directly across from the Märkisches Museum and close to the Spree River, the Marinehaus is set to open in 2028/2029. Spanning approx. 3,500 m² – of usable space – across five floors, the building is currently being restored following the design by Danish architecture studio Adept. It will include a large event space, a theater, multiple workshop rooms, artist studios, and gastronomy with an outdoor courtyard. Leading up to the opening, we are planning practice-based and participatory research projects on-site and across Berlin. For current updates, please visit the project website or the Stadtmuseum’s Instagram channel.

Before that, I was responsible for the event program, collaborations, experimental formats, and large-scale museum festivals at the Museum of Communication Berlin. There, I (co-)curated and produced a variety of interdisciplinary programs and event series, including: „No Planet, No Pride!“ (2024, info) a program for the Long Night of Museums on queer-feminist positions in the climate crisis. „KLIMA_X gestalten“ (2024, info in German) – an open call for civil society art projects. „Diskurs-Salon/Discourse Salon“ (2023, review in German) a series of four events on controversial questions in money, power, love, and art. The performative audio production „WRESTLING“ by the artist collective hannsjana (2023, info and radio reportage in German). „Glitches“ (2022, interview and article in German) on the aesthetics of interferences in post-digital music and literature. „Berlin.Pop.Women“ (2018, info in German) on the lack of acceptance of women in the music business.

I find it very important to give voice to subcultural and underground positions, and have realised projects in literature, performance, and music with various artists, including shows with punk icons Stereo Total, Blixa Bargeld, and Nina Hagen.

Furthermore, I am a comic enthusiast (interview in German) and, alongside numerous comic projects, initiated the comic series „Irgendwas mit Medien/Something with Media“ (since 2020).
